The First Pedestrian Walk occured in October of 1989 in New York City, downtown around the court houses. It was there that Yvette discovered the many dimensions of the pedestrian's character.

"Some performances were choreographed, and others were more improvisational.  Other times we have been guests of an art event or performance event. I have also participated in public hearings as a pedestrian, and walked in the New York Aids Walk as the pedestrian."  - Yvette
